We specialize in large-scale renewable energy project and have relationships with technical partners around the world. Renewable energy projects are very complex and require coordination of many players, both external and within governments.
SEMCO is credited with developing one of the largest solar projects in Africa. The project was located within Ghana and included 400MW (DC) of capacity, requiring 4,000 acres to land. SEMCO was responsible for securing the energy license, site control and negotiating the PPA with the Electric Company of Ghana. SEMCO was designated as the project developer and handled all aspects of the project. The project was ultimately sold to Hanergy Solar.
